shellac hack

Not having a lot of art supplies on a recent vacation ... necessity became the mother of invention
Hairspray (I can vouch for this one in particular) is a great sealer for painted rocks
I had my micron pens and watercolor paint - but no sealer - hairspray did the job better than anything I have in my art cupboard at home!

Hmmm, I'm thinking it's much better suited for rocks than hair. Love your little drawings. :)

Sweet and a great idea to use the hairspray. It is a "fixative" isn't it. Cute crab. xox

I've used hair spray for sealing other things...but I've never painted rocks. thanks for the hint.

Mighty nice. I do this too, and yes, hairspray is fine enough but shellac is better if you intend to wash them every ten years or so :->

Necessity is still a mother. I'd be afraid to use hair spray on my hair.
