under glass

I don't keep cheese under this old cheese plate dome

no brie, cheddar or camembert

for now I keep this lacy leaf

but a seashell, bird nest or piece of coral would be pretty too

fragile and honored that leaf devoid of it's life force, the skeleton memory of Fall. Exquisite.

I've run across lacy leaves before, but never one so intact. I just love how you've played up its rarity by showing it under glass.

Oh yes...to display such a delicate and beautiful leaf in such a manner -- absolutely wonderful! Beautiful post.

When we display, we honor. Love how you do it, as always.

I love leaf skeletons and they deserve a place of honor. They are absolutely works of art. I have a bunch of them in a glass jar. Hmmmmm, have you painted one yet? My daughter drew one in Jr. High.

That leaf is so precious! Bleubeard and Elizabeth mentioned your tea party on Tuesdays but it looks like I'm a bit early...
