green eggs

(no, not Sam I Am's green eggs)

these are the green kind, as in:

"reduce"

"recycle"

"re-use"

I made these "green eggs"
by blowing out the innards and gluing on various kinds of paper:

an old map
a page from Pride and Prejudice
a dictionary page
an old cookbook
saved wrapping paper
and
security envelopes
:)

Happy Earthday
Happy Easter

p.s. here's a good how-to that I found:
Martha Stewart "Elegant Eggs"
it's basically identical to the way I made mine

FABULOUS!
I could have these eggs every day of the year!

ps: can you tell me how you cut the paper strips? (i noticed they are wider in the middle and narrow-er on the ends)

The eggs are gorgeous - I do not have the patience to successfully get the yolk out of eggs!!! I used to color my cockatiel's eggs-the yoks are so tiny they just dry up. The colored eggs so tiny and cute!!!

Yous are very art-full!!! Happy Easter to you and your family!

My mother used to do this type of egg every year when we were children -- I'm still a dunker, though, as are my children!

Love your eggs !! They are beautiful, all of them but especially the "envelopes. I knew you would do something great with these

I bet you could do this with the plastic kind too, to make them a little more durable so they can last season to season. They look fantastic!

Enjoying these eggs and your blog and art - funny that the map one is focused on Flagstaff as that is where I am - take that to mean I should leave a comment!
